EXEMPT OR COMPLYING DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL

    WRITTEN ADVICE

The fee for  “Confirmation in writing that development is exempt or complying development” is as per the Administration of Complying Development Certificates section of Council's Fees & Charges.

Please use this form if you wish to obtain written advice form Council on whether your Development Proposal would fall within the exempt or complying development provisions of State Environment Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 or the Canada Bay Local Environmental Plan 2013.

Background Information: The NSW Government introduced State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 on 27 February 2009. This policy and the Canada Bay Local Environment Plan 2013 permit a variety of developments including one and two storey dwelling houses to be approved as Complying Development. These documents also contain provisions that allow minor developments to be exempted from the need for development consent.
