Important information:
Council permission is required when a hoarding, barricade or scaffolding is erected on Council's footpath.Permission is also required to use Council’s footpaths during construction for materials, temporary buildings and the like. The application will be assessed under Section 138 of the Roads Act 1993 & Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Upon successful lodgment with the Council, this application may take up to fifteen (15) working days to complete internal referrals and final assessments before notifying you in writing of the application outcome (Approval or Refusal). Applicants are to consider this period of assessment prior to lodging any application.
This application is not an automatic approval. Any and all work in the public domain in connection with this application must not occur until the applicant is in receipt of the full written approval from Council. If an application is refused, the applicant will be notified in writing.
For time critical assessments, where an applicant requires a fast Council assessment and notification of Approval or Refusal within three (3) business days, please select Urgent to trigger a Fastrack assessment. Please note: This service carries an additional priority service fee as outlined in Councils Fees & Charges.
For occupation of public or Council managed land; approval will only be given in writing. No occupation shall be permitted until formal notification is received by the applicant.

Applications will not proceed to assessment if the required mandatory documents are not attached to this application.
