NEW/CHANGE OF WASTE SERVICES 

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES - SINGLE UNIT DWELLINGS

APPLICATION FORM


All properties classified as Residential in Councils rating system are entitled to the following standard service:

Single Dwellings

  • 120L of waste, red lidded bin, collected weekly

  • 240L of recycling, yellow lidded bin, collected fortnightly

  • 240L of garden organics, green lidded bin collected fortnightly (alternate week to recycling)

  • 2 x bulk household items collections per annum on prescheduled dates


Dual Occupancies

For residential premises that consist of dual occupancies, provision must be made for the standard level of service as above, for both occupancies. Application is made to Council for the additional set of bins by completing the application form below so that Council can arrange delivery of bins and apply relevant charges.


Increased waste service required:

The standard domestic waste service allocation as above is recommended by the NSW EPA and is generally adequate for an average five member household. However, in circumstances where the standard service is not sufficient, application can be made to Council for an increased waste service (for example, households with two or more children in nappies or more than five occupants).

Additional or larger bins are available by completing the application form below and paying the relevant additional charges. The application form must be completed in full, signed by the property owner and returned to Council. Please include rate assessment number where possible. If the premises is leased, please contact the property agent to check whether they are authorised to complete the form on behalf of the owner.

NB If the premises already has larger or additional bins, and you want to reduce your service the below application form must also be completed.

Bulk Household Collections
Each residential property is entitled 2 x bulk household items collections per annum on prescheduled dates. See Council’s collection schedule available on Councils website.

All charges for additional bins will be billed ‘pro rata’ on the owner’s rate assessment notice. This means that the owner will be billed only for the portion of the year that you have additional or larger bins. Bins are delivered with 5-7 working days of receipt of your application form by Council.

Declaration


  • I understand that Council will withdraw this service if this account falls into arrears or bins are continually contaminated with non-complying materials.

  • I understand that Council will debit the total cost of this service to my rate assessment notice and that Council requires two weeks' notice for cancellation of this service. If the requested service is only utilised for part of the year, charges will only be applied for the proportion of the year that the service is utilised.

  • I understand that it is my responsibility to contact the Waste Hotline 1300 551 659 should bins be damaged or stolen.

  • I understand that bins are to be presented on the kerbside for servicing no earlier than the night before the scheduled collection day and returned to private property as soon as possible on the day of servicing.

  • All information provided in this application form is true and correct.

  • I declare I have the authority to sign this application form, which will alter the Waste Management Charge on the owners rating notice for the abovementioned property.

Important: Owners/property managers must submit the form because waste charges are added to the owner's rate notice.  Business managers can fill out the form online, save it, and then forward the email to the owner/property manager for their signature and submission. Please note: the owner may pass on the waste service cost to the business through the lease agreement.
